Dean Atkins
Dean Atkins made the Northern Rivers his home in 2004 after living in various Australian states and the UK.
Dean is a committee member of the Lennox Head Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Ballina Chamber of Commerce, a founding member of Ballina BNI (still being founded) and was instrumental in the Lennox Head Soccer Club’s over 35’s Grand Final victory in 2007 by retiring in 2006.
In Dean’s spare time he is a keen, yet horrific, golfer and dedicated Dad of three young boys (having seen Dean’s golf swing and kicking skills, the boys realise that discipline is by way of negotiation).
For over eleven years, Dean’s practical approach to simplifying the practices of the businesses that he has run in Australia and the UK have seen him successfully increase profits, staff retention and revenue for those businesses.
His customers have been grateful not only for the results that Dean has assisted them to achieve, but also his ability to make the coaching process fun and relaxed, while maintaining a professional approach. “We deal with Small Business, if we are not enjoying ourselves we may as well have kept working for an employer.”
Dean rates being a business coach as one of the best and rewarding jobs that he has ever done. “There is nothing better than watching a stressed out, overworked and underpaid business owner turn into a revitalised, confident innovator and leader. They usually have the skills, vision and desire to turn their business into something wonderful, with the direction that we provide the dream comes true."
