Melanie Miller
Melanie has been involved in the wholesale home wares, gift and stationery industry for the last 12 years. She has a Bachelor of Science which she admits was a strange choice and although she has never directly used her degree, it has opened many doors for her!
Melanie's career has taken her all over the world, starting in Canada where she managed the North American sales for an innovative Gift and Stationary Company. She also became involved in product sourcing, allowing her to visit some of the worlds largest trade fairs in Hong Kong, Taiwan and China. After attending over 50 trade fairs, Melanie headed home to Australia where she become the Sales and Marketing Manager for an Australian Home Wares Company.
When her feet began to “itch” again she headed off to the U.K. as General Manager of an Australian based company where she successfully turned a failing business into a thriving venture. Serious sun and sand withdrawals had her packing her bags and heading back to the Gold Coast in Queensland. After a year and a half working long hours as a Sales Manager for an International Direct Selling company, Melanie made the decision to join Small Fish as a Business Coach.
Melanie understands the need to balance work and life and has a passion for finding innovative ways to help businesses succeed. She has helped many identify areas for improvement and found ways to inject much needed enthusiasm back into the business.
Melanie’s belief is that working for yourself should be a rewarding life choice and not a chore!
